Easter REvolutionaries
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.” [John 11:25]
· What an awesome line from Jesus! This is Hope in a nutshell. If we die believing in Jesus, we will
live beyond death; we’ll escape its clutches, we’ll be made perfect like Jesus as we live and
reign with him for eternity.
· But there’s work to be done now! We celebrated Easter Day two days ago. How many people
have you told about Jesus life, death and resurrection since then? Now, this challenge is not
meant to make you feel guilty, but it is meant to inspire you to tell others about the Good News
of Jesus.
· You see, as you know, Jesus is the only person to have ever claimed to die and rise again and
actually perform this amazing act. He did it! He conquered sin and death in the process and lives
in heaven as King of the universe as well as dwelling in the lives of all believers by the power of
his Holy Spirit.
· We have this great, living, active, dynamic hope inside each of us as Hope Revolutionaries. Yet
how are we going to share it? We cannot keep this hope to ourselves. This hope was given first
to a few scared, disheartened and sad disciples in Jerusalem, who didn’t know what to do now
that Jesus had died. Their Lord turned up in the middle of their locked room, ate a fish, proved
he wasn’t a ghost and told them to stay in the city until the Father gave them “power from on
high” [the Holy Spirit - see Luke 24: 36-53]
· You don’t have to wait like them for power from on high. The Holy Spirit lives in you now,
because you’ve given your life to Jesus. So, all you need to do, as Revolutionaries of hope, is to
step out and share the Easter message with anyone and everyone you meet, doing it with words
and actions as you demonstrate Jesus’ love. Go for it!
