HOPE Revolution seeks to equip young people to be bringers of ‘good news’ through what we do as well as what we say. We recognise the words of James who says that, ‘faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action is dead’. We seek to equip young people to be doers of the word, and envisage communities all across the nation being impacted by random loving acts of kindness and practical demonstrations of God’s love.
Question: Do we love people because we want to see them saved, or do we see them saved because we love?
St Francis of Assisi is famously understood to have said ‘Preach the gospel, and if necessary use words’, making clear the importance of our actions and making these central to what we do. May we support young people all over our nation to live a lifestyle that backs up the gospel that we proclaim. May what we do demonstrate God’s love and may this be the driving force to our mission. Praise God it’s not our love that we demonstrate but God’s love at work in us.
‘God has poured out his love into our hearts by the power of the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us’. (Rom 5:5)
HOPE Revolution’s prayer is that we may display more of God and less of us, that we can impact the world around us through all that we say and do. May God increases his love in us that we may unconditionally love and accept all, valuing difference without judgement. .
‘For god so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him’
