Hope Revolution: Textify

The Mission Academy

Mission Academy learning communities are a chance for you and your youth group to work through what mission is and what it looks like in your life and your local context. You will find freedom to be yourself and gain new confidence to reach out to your friends, school and community with the love of Jesus.

The Mission Academy is going to help you learn what a lifestyle of mission could mean for you and will certainly grow you in faith.  You can dream, plan and put into practice, relevant ways of sharing hope with others, using words and actions.

Regional academies will spring up across the country from the end of this year, allowing young people to reflect and grow together, developing a lifestyle of mission. From here organic mission ideas will spark into being and spread.

HOPE Revolution has a vision to see a generation of young people raised up, as leaders in their own right, with a renewed mindset that causes word and action mission to occur naturally as a part of daily life.

The Mission Academy is a 2 year training opportunity for young people to be shaped and empowered to live in the fullness of God’s purpose for their lives. We believe that young people can lead us in transforming our communities in the name of Jesus and that they will get stuck into the action and evangelism with enthusiasm.

Facilitators’ training will be held from September and each facilitator will deliver an Academy in their region. The Academy will require participants to attend 2 or 3 weekends (Fri + Sat) each year, with a commitment to be involved with mission initiatives following each Academy weekend.  At each weekend there will be worship and prayer as a priority.
